Just wanted to say HI and provide some customer comments:) For years, my friends Mark,Terry, and myself have enjoyed the hospitality you all provide. We race to see you all every year during Arctic Man. We've never finished the poker run...we just hate leaving the lodge; it's great there! Anyway, we appreciate that the beer is always COLD and NOT foamy, the chili is HOT, the service is AWESOME, and the place is as clean and warm as the finest home. What a great place! We look forward to seeing you all again this year in a few weeks. Thanks for always putting up with our loud antics and for posting every one of our dollar bills on OUR board!!... Now you know who I am!! Our crowd should again be about 10. I look forward to hearing what's new for the lodge during this year's Arctic Man. Take care and see ya soon. Thad

Thanks for the great meals and good time. We made it out with no problem. The major snow drifts were mainly on the way up to Maclaren Summit. The rest of the drifting was not bad at all. Everybody had a great time and I am sure you will probably see a few of them this summer. I am already looking forward to next winter.

I have not visited your lodge BUT I WANT TO....I worked for the construction company that completed the Denali Highway, between the MaclarenRiver and the Susitna River in the seasons of 1957 and 1958.

You probably remember me as the bicyclist who stopped last week at your lodge after experiencing two blown tires during my trip across the Denali highway (with only 1 spare with me!). The folks at your lodge were extremely helpful and allowed me to pirate an old tire from one of your bicycles. Well, even though this tire was cracked and dried out, it made it all the way to my home in Valdez (although at only 30 psi!).
If it hadn't been for your eagerness to help, my trip would have ended quite prematurely. You definitely have the spirit of a true Alaskan roadhouse. Thank you so much for all that you did.

We had a memorable time at your lodge. I remember when Alan thought that the weather would blow over when we took the boat ride to hike up to the glacier. We laughed as we looked at the pictures of us cowering under the canoes as it dumped on us. We look forward to watching the video of us at the foot of the glacier with a gale blowing sleet into our eyes. It was a welcome site when we spotted your boat coming back for us, saving us at least 8 miles in the rain. The meal that awaited us upon our return was great. I like the laid back atmosphere at the lodge. We hope to return in the future, as soon as I can convince my wife to go on another 12000 mile drive.

Hello all! It's raining and blowing in Sitka, and I'm wishing I were in teh interior. . .cold as it probably is. Just hoping you all are well and finding some time to relax. I think of you often and look forward to my next trek back out to your place one of these days--perhaps by bus? All the best!
