Note!: The Denali Highway is not maintained from October 1st until around April 15 to 20th when DOT begins clearing snow for vehicle traffic. Check with DOT or the Maclaren Lodge before traveling the road by vehicle. The Paxson to Maclaren highway section is groomed during winter months for snowmachine traffic do not attempt to drive over what looks like a plowed road.
